Latest Developments in Astro-Imaging : From iPhones to Observatory Instrumentation
Our speaker this month will be George Sallit on “Latest Developments in Astro-Imaging: From iPhones to Observatory Instrumentation”. George is a well renowned astroimager who has talked to the society in the past and always has good sound advice, so if you are thinking of getting into imaging or purchasing a smart scope this talk should not be missed.
There have been major developments in astro-imaging from software for IPhones as well as automated imaging from Observatories. These new developments include the so-called Smart Telescopes like the Seestar S50, new Strain Wave mounts, better astro cameras suited to planetary or deep sky imaging. New developments also include much better software, specifically for astro-imagers. I will provide an overview of these developments and indicate who will benefit most from them.
