2024 AGM

This is our yearly AGM where the committee will present the societies news for this year and there will be an opportunity to vote for the committee for 2025. After the AGM business is complete we will have a guest speaker.

Mike Frost

Mike lives in Warwickshire and is a systems engineer working in the steel industry.

In his spare time, he is an astronomer. chases eclipses and has visited many astronomical sites worldwide. He is also Astro-Trails' guest astronomer at the Texas eclipse of 2024 (the clouds cleared, and we saw the eclipse!).

He is the director of the BAA Historical Section.

This talk is an offbeat look at Newton's theory of gravity - featuring hollow Earths, counter-Earths Trojan asteroids, pseudo-Moons, Lagrangian nodes, the three-body problem, and those mysterious beasts rumoured to haunt Surrey playing fields and Bodmin Moor. Already delivered on two continents!
